Decorative Plates

Denmark is famous for its hand painted decorative plates in blue under glaze porcelain. In 1970 the first of the Hans Christian Andersen decorative plates from The Desiree Porcelain Factory was issued in a series of hand painted Christmas Plates with typical Danish motifs inspired from the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales.

In 1970 the Desiree Porcelain Factory also issued the first of the Mothers Day Decorative Plates in a series of twenty-five based on typical situations from the charming world of children.

All Decorative Plates have only been produced in the year they are issued,  and are subject to collector's
attention. Although some of the editions to day are very difficult to find in the market,  the Désirée Porcelain
